It feels like we’ve been cooped up for 114 years. Like we’re stuck in the same day over and over from Palm Springs (which was surprisingly good) only we can’t find the cave and we don’t have dynamite to blow it all up.
So, what if you tried something different when it comes to your writing?
Feel safe enough to go to a coffee shop to work? The change in environment might be the motivation you need to get words on the page.
Able to navigate zoom without accidentally forgetting to mute while you go to the bathroom? Awesome! Try hopping on a zoom sprint where you set a timer and check in when it goes off to share your progress.
Close that document you’ve been working in since 2012 and start fresh with what you know now.
Hand-write instead of typing or vice versa.
Whatever sounds exciting to you, whatever brings you more joy, whatever feels fun, do that thing and see where it gets you. Then, check back in with how it went and try something else tomorrow.
